In-depth and advanced knowledge for dental practice in the field of periodontics as well as critical evaluation of specialist literature. Complete interdisciplinary planning and implementation of treatment. Proof of continuing professional development and recertification after 5 years.

(anatomy, histology, physiology, immunology, inflammation and wound healing) - Aetiology and pathogenesis of periodontal lesions
- Pathology of mucosal lesions and lesions of other adjacent structures
- Epidemiology of periodontal diseases, index systems
- Influential factors in aetiology
- Occlusion-related lesions, basic functional knowledge
- Complex treatment planning, identifying and assessing at-risk patients and implications for planning and treatment
- Periodontal prophylaxis and initial periodontal therapy to create a biologically acceptable surface
